 New Functionalities:

• Added: "Hide Scrollbars" option for URL cues.
• Added: fast video switch option. This options allows better transitions from one video media to another in Sync Video Mode. The option is enabled via a new "FastVideoSwitch" entry of the "Video Parameters (Expert Mode Settings)" configuration.
• Added: free/total disk space of the MIP is now displayed in the status bar of the GUI.

 Bug Fixed:

• System log file becomes huge (>1GB) if the default media exists but cannot be played.
• System log file can grow indefinitely (it is now limited to 16 megs).
• MIP crashes at startup if there is a corrupted VideoMediaInfo.xml file.
• Media are transferred to the trash folder if disk space limit is reached.

 New Functionalities:

• Added log of low level information in log trace file. Low level traces can be enabled/disabled from the GUI.
• Added FTP access to log files.

 Bug Fixed:

• The MIP cannot be browsed by NDD (Network Device Detection) after its IP Address has been changed.
• False "ERROR" status reported by the GUI when a media is played in multimedia mode using the GUI.
• When the "NoLoop" advanced video parameter is set: media were paused at the end of the file which required a Stop and a Play command to start it again. Now the media is fully stopped and a single Play command starts it again.
• Help might be incorrectly displayed depending on the browser configuration. Help files now use HTML format instead of PDF.

 Bug Fixed:

• The Medialon MIP MxM cannot retrieve the media list if one of the media name contains the &apos (apostrophe) character.
• NoLoop parameter in the Video Parameters (Expert Mode Settings) is not always taken into account.
• The mouse cursor is not automatically hidden when playing videos.

 New Functionalities:

• The MIP GUI now displays a warning message when several sync masters for the same sync group are detected on the network.

 Bug Fixed:

• Sync Settings change to No Sync if Load Video command has same parameters as are currently active on the MIP.

 Note:

• Version 2.0.8 is the next version after 2.0.6. Version 2.0.7 has never been released.

 New Functionalities:

• Added a NoLoop parameter in the Video Parameters (Expert Mode Settings). When set to 1, none of the media are looped
• Added a Watchdog section in the Video Parameters (Expert Mode Settings). When the RestartMachine parameter set to 1, the machine is restarted if the watchdog detects a fault
• In Video Player Mode: a load media command doesn't reload the current media if it is already present (using the same sync parameters). It merely locates the current media at the start.

 Bug Fixed:

• Crash in sync mode which happens randomly
• Only supported display settings were shown in the User Interface (now even non supported display settings are shown)
• Cannot switch SPDIF On/Off via the HTML interface
• The error message logged when the IP Parameters cannot be set is not explicit. Now it mentions the possibility of an unplugged Ethernet cable.
• Seconds are not displayed in the System Log entries.

 New Functionalities:

• A new maintenance option in the setup section allows restarting the MIP regularly.

 Bug Fixed:

• MIP doesn't automatically restart after a firmware update (the MIP must be restarted manually). Note that this issue occurs when updating the MIP firmware while version 2.0.4 or 2.0.5 is running and is fixed only when updating from version 2.0.6.

 New Functionalities:

• Up to 30 sync groups can now be used via the WEB interface.
• A new 'SyncBroadcastPeriod' parameter of the MedialonExtension.ini file can now be used to adjust the frequency of the synchronization messages sent between MIPHDs.

 Bug Fixed:

• Cues of type 'Command' are sometimes not correctly executed.

 New Functionalities:

• A new "Playlist" cue allows starting another playlist from the current playlist.
• A new "Help" link on the user interface allows downloading the MIP HD User Manual.

 Bug Fixed:

• "Sending Command..." appears in the message bar after connection.
• Removed defragmentation option as it is useless for SSDs.
• A timeout happens sometimes when transferring a large file locally from a USB storage.
• Mouse cursor is sometimes still displayed after the local GUI has been used
• The MIPHD computer is sometimes not properly renamed after the first boot

 New Functionalities:

• Added Network Time Server (NTP) and Timezone settings

 Bug Fixed:

• Inconsistent behaviour after a master group has been changed on both the master and slaves.
• Crash when changing repeatedly master/slave or sync group using local GUI.

 Bug Fixed:

• Listing of large number of files.
• Static IP cannot be set on some configurations.

 New Functionalities:

• Added "New Playlist" and "New Schedule" buttons

 Bug Fixed:

• A periodic refresh of video file caused a kind of "jitter" on some specific files (most noticeably on image files). "Periodic refresh" is now be disabled by default but can be enabled via the Video Setting Expert Mode section of the Setup Tab.
• Various minor ergonomy issues of the WEB GUI.

 What's new in Medialon MIP HD:

General:

MIP HD is a compact player able to playback both multimedia content such as Flash, Html, Jpeg and even URLs as well as 1080p HD video. Interactive media such as Flash keep their interactivity if needed.

Its built-in web server provides web user interface to remotely upload media, to build up playlists and to schedule and retrieve log files.

Its Sync Video mode allows synchronization of unlimited number of HD video playback via the network.

It can either operate autonomously or be slaved of a Medialon Control System making it an ideal solution for Museum as well as Digital signage applications.
