Medialon Control Systems, as software as
well as embedded controllers, use Medialon X
Object plug-ins (MxMs) to communicate with and
control devices in the external world, be it
real devices such as a video servers or
“virtual” devices such as other software, da-tabases
etc …
This SDK provides code examples, software and
documentation on how to design such MxMs. It
requires a good knowledge of Medialon Control
Systems and C++.
The SDK allows developers to design specific
MxMs and even to limit their use to a specific
serial number of a Medialon product, providing a
way for developers to protect their work and
even to resell it.
MxMs developed with the SDK remain the
intellectual property of the developer and as
such are not supported by Medialon. Users of a
third-party developer’s MxM accept the risk of
having pieces of code not being approved by
Medialon, and for such reason Medialon declines
any liability for any consequential damage.
The SDK is provided upon request to Medialon,
which reserves the right to refuse and is
subject to acceptance of a license agreement and
payment of a support fee. The support fee
includes answers to up to 5 “Cases” by
Medialon's Development Team for support on the
SDK's. An additional support fee may be required
for guidance of a complex development. Bugs in
the SDK are not considered as ‘cases”. Medialon
reserves the right to refuse to support
developers who do not have sufficient skills in
C++ to use the SDK.
