Danish production company VISION 3 tapped Medialon for
HD playback and show control in a single machine for “3
Tango,” a spectacular new musical at Copenhagen’s
Kaleidoskop Theater.
At the core of the production is Xstage, a product from
3D vision and event company Blickfang GmbH. With
Xstage, animated pictures are projected onto a screen
located in front of the stage. The pictures are
mirrored in a special transparency stretched over the
stage at an angle of 45 degrees and the reflections
create 3D objects, which hover above.
VISION 3 connected a Barco SLM 8 projector, sound system
and Medialon Manager HD playback and controlled them
with Medialon Manager show control. This configuration,
in conjunction with Xstage, enabled VISION 3 to deliver
perfect 3D illusions, which combined with live actors
and musicians onstage.
Henrik Krarup of HENTECH encoded HD movie content and
programmed Medialon Manager on a PC with two screen
outputs: one 1 VGA output which supplied the user
interface to the technician running the show and one DVI
output which fed the HD signal to the projector. |
