Sailing between Mariehamn and the Swedish capital
Stockholm, Birka Paradise is offering high comfort and
practical resources for their guests. For those who have
to do business onboard, Birka Paradise is equipped with
several conference rooms. The company has chosen
Medialon Display System as the server for the 15” LCD
screens located in front of each conference room. The
entire system is updated from a central position and in
combination with their booking system.
The Cruise Vessel “Birka Paradise” launched in April of
2004. The ship is 177 m long and 28 m wide comprising
eleven decks, five of which are dedicated to passenger
accommodation: there are cabins and suites for in all
1,800 passengers. The vessel represents a quite new
standard as to passenger comfort. In addition to it
unique all-weather sun deck, the Birka Paradise boasts
nine restaurants, several bars and two night clubs with
dancing floors. There is also a large conference area
for 400 people and a shopping center.
For future upgrades Birka line is considering to use the
Medialon’s Dynamic Signage capability to mix their
meeting info with live video streamed over their network
on to the Medialon display players. The ship was built
in Finland at Finnyards and all AV installations was
done by Finland ’s leading AV integrator, Studiotec Oy. |
