Medialon has been selected by E/T/C - a French-based
specialist in high power projection for live events and
museum’s installations - to be the center piece of
"Chambord, Rêve de Lumières night" show in "Château de
Chambord", the largest castle of the Renaissance in the
Loire Valley in France.
When the night goes down, spectators can watch a show
displayed on the north side of the castle and immerse
into the Renaissance time.
One Medialon Manager PRO Show & Media Control license
has been integrated to control the projection system,
video, lighting and audio of the show.
E/T/C installed an OnlyView high power projection
system, with 9x video flux in dual (9x2 VP 15 000
lumens), and 8x video flux in back projection on water
curtains.
Medialon Manager controls the starting up of the
OnlyView displays. Medialon’s system also manages
several Alcorn McBride video servers, video projectors
and lighting via a NetLinx interface. Some of the
lighting and sound go through fiber optic, both
controlled by Medialon. Installing fiber optic in the
castle’s moats has been quite difficult mainly because
the “Château de Chambord” is classified as ancient
monument and the installation should not damage the
castle.
Medialon Manager also controls the following AV
equipment:
1x Master Unit OnlyView
1x DVM4 Alcorn McBride
1x Artistic Licence NetLinx
1x Moxa NPortServer
« We have chosen Medialon Manager for this project
mainly because it really offers large network
possibilities» said Richard Cailleux, E/T/C’s Project
Manager in the Multimedia and Museography Dpt.
SKERTZO designed the night show of the “Château de
Chambord”.
