The Coca-Cola Company, called on
Video Tube’s services to build the largest facility in
the heart of the Olympic Green complex of sports
facilities, the 4,000 square-meter “Shuang Experience
Center”.
Visitors of the “Shuang Experience Center” were immersed
in several interactive experiences, including the
Coca-Cola's 80-year Olympic heritage, environment
initiatives made by The Coca-Cola Company, live
telecasts of the Olympic Games athletic events, exhibits
of Chinese folk and human size Coca-Cola’s bottles
decorated by local folk artists coming from all regions
of mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau.
Video Tube, famous for using cutting edge technology in
the audiovisual field, selected Medialon Manager to be
the control’s master of the entire 12-area pavilion.
Bruno Farre, Video Tube Inc. Project Manager &
Programmer, integrated two Medialon Manager PRO Show &
Media Control Software licenses, to be in charge of the
entire building automation, including video, audio,
lighting, curtains opening/closing and a people counting
system.
“I have used Medialon for a few years now and use
extensively Databases to control the shows. The
flexibility is very important to me as I primarily do
Live Corporate Shows”, said Bruno Farre, Video Tube
Project Manager and Programmer.
The Medialon Manager system controlled the following
equipment:
Lighting Control through Midi (2 Channels)
Audio and Lighting synchronization through Time Code
Video Control through TCP/IP
Curtain Control through Serial + Relay
3x GVG Turbo
1x Encore System with 3 VP controllers
5x Channels of Dataton Watchout
5x Soundweb London
2x Lighting Boards
1x Mitsubishi Relay (Curtain)
4x Light beams for the people counting system
Additionally to the Medialon Manager licenses, four
Medialon Manager Panels have been used to remotely
control, simply by a push of a button, the starting and
stop of the 6-minute video-clips show displayed in the
pavilion theater.
“Time constraint was the major challenge” said Bruno
Farre, “video content could not be done until the last
minutes. A lot of the clips were edited on site with
highlights of the previous day”, added Farre. Thanks to
Medialon Manager and its Database system, it allowed
Video Tube Inc. to easily update the medias content with
an incredible ease programming process.
A custom Graphical User Interface has been specially
designed on Medialon Manager for the “Shuang Experience
Center” pavilion, to offer fast and easy control for
each area of the pavilion.
