Medialon helped Gothenburg, Sweden
celebrate Christmas by providing show control of the
city’s new outdoor holiday extravaganza.
The show -- in which stills, video and graphics were
projected onto the 1200-square meter facade of the art
museum in the heart of the city -- marks Gothenburg’s
emergence as a Christmas shopping and tourist
destination. Approximately 50 shows, described as
“lyrical, fun and multicultural” by a local newspaper,
played to an audience estimated at 100,000 people.
Event specialist Massteknik supplied the hardware and
rigging for the outdoor spectacular. Medialon V3 PRO
controlled and synchronized nine Barco R12+ projectors,
eight Dataton WATCHOUT PCs, seven Syncrolite SX-B52 5K
Skytrackers, and a Wholehog II lighting console.
All the equipment, apart from the lights, had a power
backup of 35K to guarantee continuous running of the
show in the event of a power failure.
Niclas Ljung was senior project
manager for Massteknik. |
