The attraction of the Futuroscope de Poitiers, Images
Studio unveils the mysteries of film-making fascinating
world. Take an initiation journey into the heart of a
film studio, with french 'Mr Cinema' (Pierre Tchernia)
as your guide, and discover the behind-the-screen
secrets to create illusions and special effects.
In the heart of a three level 1600 m² studio, moving
skiffs are hung onto a rail and transport visitors
through sets of cinema.
Already served by a Dataton Show Control Trax, the
Futuroscope wished to update this attraction. Thus,
company ETC, in charge of the show installation, run to
Medialon with which it already worked for the “Cité
numérique” at Futuroscope.
After a hard work on the setting, the real challenge was
the time. The 70 video stream, 153 light circuits and
all the synchronisation system for the skiffs should be
done in three weeks.

The input contacts detect the skiffs on security rails.
They are synchronised to 35 mm cinema projectors. The
output contacts are used to start projectors, command
the shutters and all the electromecanical equipements.
