The
LEIPZIG 2012 Olympic Campaign has decided to turn one of
their Municipal arenas into the centerpeice of their
Olympic bid. The star of the installation is a huge
"Bridge of Visions" that passes over a lake of 80,000
liters of water specially brought in for the occasion.
On either side of the bridge, 2 huge panoramic screens
(48'x15') display architectural concepts designed by
architects Peter Eisenman and Peter Kulka.
Creative Lighting of Dresden,
Germany, was the first company to be contracted for this
exciting project, and they immedietly chose a Medialon
Manager system to control all show elements of the
project. Combining with a Dataton Watchout system, the
Manager controlled the eight computers that are being
used to transfer signals to eight EIKI projectors which
in turn project onto the large screens. Furthermore,
Medialon controlled all audio (running off a server and
sub-controlled by a Creston Media Control system), DMX
lighting, and, via an N-Port Server Moxa, the 16 Kodak
Dia Projectors that project onto 16 screens. |
