Following the serial of exhibition
“a world made by all the worlds”, la Villette Park
presents, from may 19th to november 14th, in the Paul
Delouvrier’s House: “Musulmanes, musulmans, a series of
portraits and stories”.
Five moslem cities are represented. Each of them has a
projection room allowing the watching of audiovisual
documents concerning social and cultural transformations
in muslim countries due to globalization.
The exhibition uses several audio and visual effects
everywhere in the house and proposes five projection
rooms to visitors. To synchronize successfully and
simultaneously all the audiovisual technics, Benoit
Weber, technical manager of la Grande Halle de la
Villette chose Medialon, especially for its power and
flexibility.
One Show Control Machine is used for this exposure (with
a 4 video channels visualcircuit card, 1DMX card and 1
Medialon Manager Lite which pilots the video projector
and the sound system in each projection room).
Concerning video sources, four of them come from the
visualcircuit card (inside the Show Control machine) and
the fifth from a Pioneer 7003 DVD player.
A multi tracks (Akaï DR 8)audio player, which goes round
in a circle (like the videos), spreads sound effects all
around the house. The public can visit the corridor with
a musical surrounding until the projection room.
Finally, three video monitors are installed troughout
the exhibition. They are connected to three DVD players
piloted in infrared by an IR Box distributed by Medialon.
The user interface, created with Medialon Manager, gives
the manual control to the audiovisual equipments which
allow to technicians to start or stop the videos as they
want.
All the elements run automatically from the opening to
the closure of the exhibition thanks to the program
interface created especially for it. |
