To celebrate its sixteen years of
life, french newspaper OUEST-France organized, in its
headquarter, a memorial show called “Du plomb au tout
numérique” showing the newspaper evolution from the
creation, in 1944, until today. The show presents the
print impression’s evolution and modernization to the
public.
A reliable system, able to pilot all the differents
materials (video, light, sound), was necessary to
realize this show. Presented during four months in the
newspaper’s building, the show must have a systeme wich
doesn’t need to be manipulated by spectators. That’s why
company Côté Cour, in charged of the installation,
choosed Medialon Manager V3 software, able to pilot with
precision the whole elements.
Technicals means used for the show :
A video projection on a 4x3m screen. It diffuses an
archive picture’s enchainment of the newspaper creation
in 1944 to 2004.
4 automatic projectors. They are used to put ahead the
different objects presented on or around the machine.
A traditionnal lighting (PR 56 – cut by ETC) used to put
ahead the machine’s volume and to project gobos.
4 HP for the movie’ sound.
All those technical elements are piloted by Medialon
Manager software. It allow to diffuse the 7min30 of the
show from 11:00 am to midnight thanks to the software’s
clock wich starts and stops the show at specific times.
All the machines are automatically started by Manager.
Done by the Medialon’s technical staff, the preparation
allowed to Julien RIBES, show control freelance, to
program the show very fast (two days on site).
According to Patrick Fromentin, Côté Cour technical
manager : « we were looking for a technical solution
with Medialon, we kept the artistic conception and the
materials site installation for us. Each society worked
on their tasks, the final operation is a great success. |
