Medialon is reaching for the stars at the recently re-opened Planetarium
de Vaulx-en-Velin near Lyons, France where Medialon Manager software is
integrated to Evans & Sutherland’s Digistar 3 astronomical simulator.
Digistar technology gives planetarium visitors the illusion of a 3D
representation into some 9,000 stars from 1.000.000 stars database.
Theatres & Spectacles Sarl, Evans & Sutherland's agent in France, was
the integrator for the project providing both the Digistar and Medialon
equipment. The company is known for developing giant-screen theaters,
many of them spherical in shape; they have developed similar spaces for
planetariums in Europe and Middle-East countries, such as Qatar in the
Persian Gulf.
At the Planetarium de Vaulx-en-Velin Medialon Manager enables lighting
and audio management and video conference synchronization via
single-point Digistar control for fast, efficient implementation in the
hemispheric theater. Medialon is part of an equipment roster, which
includes V3 pro, Show Control Machine, Rugboard and Midiman.
French multimedia company L.F.D.C. and Jean-Luc CHARLES have provided
and installed a very performant 5.1 sound distribution system. |
