After
several months, and even years, of designing, building and integration,
the World Expo 2010 has been opened for a six-month period in Shanghai,
China.
Several famous A/V integrators joined the World Expo to set-up A/V
systems and Medialon Show and Media Control solutions in many pavilions
built for countries and companies.
“We are very proud our solutions have been widely installed by the best
A/V integrators for the first World Expo held in China”, declares Alex
Carru, CEO of Medialon.
“During the Medialon system integration period, tens of technicians were
working on our products. We have then decided to create a social network
for those who were on site, so they could connect together and exchange
about their missions”, says Alex Carru. “A specific technical support
has also been set-up, along with Technical Support Team based in France
and in the US, to offer them non-stop assistance”, Carru adds.
Just to name a few, Medialon solutions run in the following pavilions:
European countries
- France Pavilion: it showcases the sights, smells,
tastes, sounds and feel of France. A large amount of video projections,
moving images, reflected jumping waves, as well as French city ambient
sound effects are provided as background to make the pavilion a real
living structure. The entire AV installation of the pavilion is under
the direction of Medialon Manager V5 Pro control software.
- Spain Pavilion: it features several exhibition rooms
designed by famous Spanish artists. Visitors are immersed in large scale
multimedia shows, mixing video, sound and lighting effects. The Medialon
Control System controlled and synchronized the entire AV devices
installed inside the Pavilion, including several video projectors, a
Dataton Watchout system, sound systems, video animations and
animatronics.
- Greece Pavilion: presents a 24-hour life of a Greek city
through several interactive applications created for the visitors. The
Medialon Control system controls all the AV devices installed in the
Pavilion.
- Norway Pavilion: The Medialon Control system controls
the audio, video and lighting systems integrated in the Pavilion to run
multimedia shows and create amazing exhibition halls environments. The
AV system controlled by Medialon Manager Pro licences includes Dataton
Watchout video playback PCs, SoundMan servers for the audio, GrandMa
Ultralight desk, etc.
- Belgium Pavilion
- Ile-de-France Pavilion (region of Paris, France)
North & South
America countries
- USA Pavilion: The Medialon Control system allows the
control and synchronization of the entire AV equipment installed in the
Lobby (screens projectors, videos), Preshow (huge side-by-side screens)
and main Show Theatre (five 30-foot tall screens with LED, projectors,
videos, 4D effects with vibrating seats, mist and lighting effects) of
the Pavilion.
- Canada Pavilion
Asian countries
- Macau Pavilion: The Medialon Manager Control System
controlled and synchronized the entire AV devices installed in the
Pavilion, including over 130 projectors, 130 PCs running Dataton
Watchout system, plasma screens, video servers, fog screens, as well as
the PLC system used to control the indoor motorized Rabbit lantern.
Medialon also allowed the control of thousands of LED lights which
changed colors to create a splendid show on the outside of the Pavilion.

UAE Pavilion: The Medialon Control System controlled the
entire video, lighting and audio systems installed inside the Pavilion,
as well as moving screens and multimedia projections.
Companies / Corporate
- China Mobile Pavilion and China Telecoms Information &
Communications Pavilion: The Medialon show control system was
used to send cues via the wireless network that allowed the ICT-equipped
visitors to follow in sync with all the shows. The Medialon system
allowed to know where each visitor and their ICT Mobile Device were at
any given time and played synchronous content related to their location.
The Medialon system also controlled and synchronized the AV equipment
and multi-track surround sound system for the pavilion's pre-show as
well as the Dream Big Multi-Dimensional Interactive Network Theatre
where the IMAX-style main show took place.
- China State Shipbuilding Pavilion: The entire Audio,
video and show-control systems controlled by Medialon enabled visitors
to explore the role of shipping in China's past, investigate exciting
concepts for future floating cities and farms, and simulate navigation.
The Medialon control system controlled and synchronized lighting, audio
and video systems inside the Pavilion.
