While
at first this production might seem more simple than
most, this opera, designed in Holland and debuting in
Japan, in fact presented a brand new challenge for
Medialon software.
While most shows require an unchanging, prearranged
playlist and synchronization of media, this system
required constant, on the fly, real time adjustments.
Specifically, this means that a stage technician had to
work--in response to an actor's movements and cues--with
the Manager to get the correct media displayed at the
right moment.
This pressure packed scenario was made easier by a
special video jockeying device implemented by Medialon
for just such a purpose as well as easy to use touch
screen interfaces. The image to be projected was located
within a database and relayed to Barco Projectors.
Programming for the system was done by Ground Zero of
the Netherlands, the supplier for the material was
Sub-Multimedia who did also the video design. |
